Ragging is totally banned and anyone found guilty of ragging and /or abetting ragging is liable to be punished under Indian Penal Code and UGC Regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in Higher Education Institutions, 2009. As per ‘The Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act,1999 (Mah. XXXIII of 1999) published in the Maharashtra Govt. Gazette on 15th May 1999’ any act of ragging is prohibited and punishable offence. If any student is found indulging in ragging, it should be brought to the notice of Member/ Coordinator/ Chairperson of the Anti-Ragging Committee/ Anti-Ragging Squad of the College or Anti–Ragging Monitoring Cell of the University of Mumbai immediately.
Such students will also be expelled from the College and F.I.R. will be lodged with the Police against them. The College may suspend or dismiss the student from the College for such act. The College provides a ragging free environment.
